Age of Empires 4 is a real-time strategy game developed by Water Thunder Studios and published by Xbox Game Studios, a division of Microsoft. Here are some of the main features of the game:

  1. Civilisation Features:
    • England: easy to pick up and excellent defence. Building farms requires fewer resources, and peasants carry shortbows with them for some fighting ability. The landmark building Berkshire Palace can improve defence performance, and the castle grid can improve the attack speed of nearby units. The unique unit of Longbowmen is powerful and can be deployed as a defensive barrier against cavalry.
    • China: The opening game has many peasants, which gives an advantage in economic construction. You can train court officials to collect tax money, and you can build two landmarks in one era. Entering the Tang, Song, Yuan, and Ming dynasties will give you different benefits, such as the Song dynasty’s focus on population and the Ming dynasty’s focus on military. Military units such as Zhuge Crossbowmen, Fire Spear Cavalry, and Hive Cannon are strong in later periods.
    • Black Eclipse: There is only one landmark, the Palace of Wisdom, which can propel the civilisation into the next era and gain advanced technology. It has an excellent anti-cavalry unit, the Camel Archer, and a special mechanism called the ‘Golden Age’ that brings economic growth and faster research. Imams trained by mosques can provide benefits to the team.
    • France: Cavalry is powerful, Royal Knights can be trained in Era 2, Crossbowmen and Cannons have unique advantages, and Cannons are good for siege. Merchants are fully functional and can return with any resources. Some buildings around the castle cost less and produce faster.
    • Delhi Sultan: suitable for strategy planning players. Era 1 Mosques can be built to train scholars, bringing multiple bonuses to the empire, and technological research can be interrupted and continued, but requires scholars to be stationed.
