Role-playing games

The following is an introduction to some of the different types of role-playing games:

  1. Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG):
    • WORLD OF WARCRAFT: Blizzard Entertainment’s classic with a huge and rich game world. There are several races and professions to choose from, and players can adventure, complete quests, explore copies, and interact with other players on the continent of Azeroth. With its rich plot and grand worldview, the game’s updates and operations have been maintained at a high level, making it one of the benchmarks of MMORPGs.
    • Final Fantasy 14: Developed by Square Enix in Japan, the game features beautiful graphics, a rich plot and a unique career system. Players can experience exciting main quests, various side quests, and difficult copy challenges in the game. The game also has a well-developed social system where players can join guilds and engage in team activities with other players.
    • Sword Art Online 3: An excellent domestic MMORPG with a strong Chinese style, set in ancient Chinese martial arts. There are several sects in the game for players to choose from, each with unique skills and gameplay. Sword Art Online 3 has a great social atmosphere, where players can make friends, form clubs, and participate in various jianghu disputes and competitive activities.
  2. Single-player role-playing game:
    • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wilderness: one of Nintendo’s classic game series. Players will take on the role of Link as he explores, solves puzzles, and fights on the continent of Hylar. The game is extremely open, and players are free to choose the direction and way of exploration, and defeat powerful enemies by collecting various props and improving their skills. Its unique physics engine and interactive mechanisms bring players a brand new gaming experience.
    • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: A role-playing game developed by CD Projekt Red in Poland. Players take on the role of the demon hunter Jarloth and embark on an adventure in an open magical world. The game’s depth of plot, characterisation and world-building are all top-notch, with the player’s choices having an impact on the development of the plot, and the combat system is strategic, making it a highly acclaimed single-player RPG.
    • Goddesses of Anecdote 5: One of the masterpieces of Japan’s Atlus. Combining school life with a mysterious otherworldly adventure, the player takes on the role of the protagonist who leads a group of partners with special abilities to live a normal school life during the day and enter the otherworld at night to fight against the forces of evil. The game has a unique painting style, excellent music, and a plot full of suspense and reversals.
  3. Mobile phone role-playing game:
    • The Original God: An open-world adventure RPG developed by MiHYU, players will explore the fantasy world called ‘Tiwat’ and choose different characters, each with unique skills and attributes. The game has beautiful graphics, a rich storyline, and is constantly updated with new content and events, attracting a large number of players.
    • Crash: Star Dome Railway: also a role-playing game released by Miha Tour, with a cosmic sci-fi background. Players will travel between different planets on the Star Dome Train, meeting various characters and embarking on adventures. The game has a unique combat system and a plot full of sci-fi elements and whimsy.
    • ‘Fantasy Journey to the West’ Handheld Version: Based on the end-game of the same name, it retains the classic gameplay and plot of the end-game. Players can choose different sects and characters to fight, upgrade and cultivate pets. The game has a powerful social system, players can team up with other players, get married, join gangs, etc.
  4. Anime adapted role-playing game:
    • Navigation King: Burning Will: Based on the super-hot anime ‘King of Thieves’. Players can choose popular characters from the anime to play and experience the classic plot of the anime. The game’s graphics and characters are highly restored, and the battle system is more exciting, allowing players to realise their dreams of sailing in the game.
    • ‘Naruto Handbook “: With the Japanese anime ”Naruto’ as the background, players can play as various characters in Naruto and engage in battles and adventures.   5. Action Role Playing Game (ARPG):

    • Only Wolf: Shadow of the Dead II: An ARPG set in Japan’s Warring States period, players will take on the role of a ninja and fight various powerful enemies in a world full of danger. The game’s combat is difficult and requires players to master enemy attack patterns and combat techniques, providing a strong sense of challenge and accomplishment.
